I bought a 2nd hand 2018 Mazda 3 with mileage of 47,000 km and decided to get it checked. At the autorepair shop they told me that the inspection is free. They took apart the wheels and other parts of the car and said that there're so many parts that needed to be replaced. I was so shocked as the car was driving fine before seeing the autorepair shop. The final bill comes at more than 80k pesos which is absurbly high, it was hard for me since they already took out the parts and it felt unsafe to put those parts back. I wasn't given any chance to check other autorepair shops since I'm stuck there and they might harm my car since they already took it apart.

Edit: I posted their fb page and store https://www.reddit.com/r/CarsPH/comments/1sxoori/posting_the_scam_auto_repair_shop_for_awareness/

More edit: Just for clarification, I hired a mechanic to assist me in checking the car during my meet up with the previous car owner. The mechanic said that the parts I need to replace are the belt and stab link, that's why I searched in Facebook for those parts and quoted it, I went to the store that offered the best price but when I arrive there to get those two parts replaced they insisted that they need to check the inside the car which resulted to me being stuck there with my car taken apart and them over charging me for parts that I didn't intend to replace in the first place.
