Hi all, please I need urgent advice. I was taking birth control for around 3 months (NEVER had any spotting, but I was skipping my break) and then I stopped for a few weeks and restarted again. One of the early days of restarting, I missed a pill and took it in the morning when I remembered. Ever since then, I have had continuous spotting for about 2-3 weeks. I have now finally finished the pack, and my doctor advised I take a 4 day break and then continue again hoping it will level out. However, only today (the last day of my break) have I seen signs of an actual withdrawal bleed. Contraception is not really the biggest concern for me right now, so I am thinking of just stopping the pill all together as the thought of this continuing for another 2-3 months is distressing. However, I am reading that for some the spotting continued for months even after stopping the pill all together. In any of your experiences, what do you think is best to try to get my body back to normal ASAP? I know this is common, but I genuinely just want this to be over as quick as possible as I never had irregular periods, spotting, or anything of the sort until now.
