TCS Prime May13th Prime Experience
Greetings yall-
Ok I just wanted to quickly share my experience since I- myself was going through alot other posts to have a brief idea on the level of the interview prior to my turn..
So there were basically two rounds. The first one The TR & MR combined, they seemed a little busy with the form updation or smthng so while I waited. The MR just asked me a few personal questions on where I am from , How did I commute.. would I travel daily If i get picked and stuff.. Later the TR started by asking a quick self intro.. followed by my work experience and the project that I am currently working on. Followed up with the tech stack that is being currently used. It also had cloud migration in it so i had follow up questions like which service.. what all are being used. Later, I was asked to give an high level architecture of the system with the diagrams drawn and stuff. He was following up with the questions back and forth on it. He was statisfied with the explanation. Then he moved to SpringBoot and asked me to show exactly the flow of the request something like made up some endpoint and asked me to work on from here. Then i began going through showing the code snippets the annotations and stuff.. again same back and forth as we progressed with questions like the dependencies , annotations , layers , auth tokens, request response flow... pretty basic. Then the cloud system codebase and the legacy system what difference do i find in both and stuff like that... In the end he said he was pretty satisfied and understood that I am good on technical aspects. There were other small questions that seemed basic that I can't recall. Then the MR got in and started with why i wanted to leave the current company in such a short time.. had pretty good convo on this- then both together kept stressing on why exactly would i want to join TCS. And what exactly do I expect from them so that it would assure them that i will stick to the company and show longevity... Idk somehow this convo had back and forth I mentioned my reasons but they kept on stressing on it.
If I had been trying other opportunities. Why would I go for TCS.. do uk any recent happenin- in the company and stuff. The layoffs n other incidents I brought it up. And they followed with the question would I still want to join.. also would i be willing to join since there is 5 day wfo policy...
Maybe they were trying to test me out or smthng. Then some casual questions about me. And yep I had the chance to ask few questions at the end so I have asked on the role degradation.. how do they categorise on the roles.. what exactly are factors that determine it.. So yeah I haven't got an exact answer to it. And peace out- was asked to stay back for HR round..
The HR round took a while as he was busy with smthng.. And yea- it went pretty quick starting with doc verification.. unfortunately I hav shown everything except the degree certificate as I forgot it at home.. So managed with the soft copy. Was a mistake on my end- my bad.... then few question on location pref.. notice period.. shift timings.. relocation..

Honestly I would say it went good. Dk what can i expect on the role but yead.. What do you guys think do I have a chance ?
