So I tested The 5070Ti and The 9070XT across 14 Game Average at 1440p and 4K
I spent some time benchmarking the 5070Ti (MSI Gaming Trio OC+) and 9070XT(PowerColor RED DEVIL OC) across 14 latest games at both 1440p and 4K rasterization performance using the exact same system/settings with their latest drivers installed. I also didn't use FSR or DLSS for the most accurate results.
I put everything into Excel and made a quick visualization for averages.
Edit
- Accidentally got Crimson Desert values wrong which gave AMD the advantage. The 5070Ti is actually the faster card overall. Values adjusted and image link uploaded HERE. I deeply apologize for the error.
Average Results
- 1440p
- 9070XT: 117.6 FPS
- 5070Ti: 117.7 FPS
- Difference: 0.0%
- 4K
- 9070XT: 69.4 FPS
- 5070Ti: 71.1 FPS
- Difference: 5070Ti +2.4%
CPU used AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Obverall raster performance ended up being much closer than I expected.
- At this point, it almost feels like no one is inherently faster than the other but comes down to engine and drivers.
- First time seeing the 5070Ti beat the 9070XT in Red Dead Redemption 2 but this benchmark was done using VULKAN API.
