This weekend I had two cancellations that I found very satisfying.

First one was on Friday night in the rain. I had already accepted the next ride and once I dropped my current ride off and rated them I was met with three messages:

“You’re nowhere near X, drive here right now”
“Where are you going!? This service is ridiculous”
“You need to get here right now!”

So I drove the 0.5 miles and I got to his block and cancelled - rider pickup unsafe. And drove off.

Then the second one was last night at 2am. I get to the address, park literally on top of the pin, and I wait.

2 minutes pass, then one more minute and I get the message “where are you?” I tell them I’m outside the address provided on the pickup point.

More time passes and I’m 15 seconds from getting a cancellation fee and I see a guy walking very slowly to my car. I roll down the window and he’s obviously drunk and mad at me and he asks me to pull forward two more houses so his friend can get in. I say “Sure thing boss!” He turns around and starts walking slowly away. Cancellation fee period is here - I cancel “rider nowhere to be found” and drive right past him.
