Rookie Rewatch Season 2

Nobody outright hated sesson 1 rewatch so doing season 2.

We started to see pieces that would form huge parts of the series.

The Best

Two of the best villans were introduced.

The GOAT Rosalyn Dyer ( RIP Annie Wersching - amazing on 24, Vampire Diaries and Castle too) the show has been chasing another Rosalyn but will never find another and needs to reset its bad guys.

Nick Armstrong shocked me when it aired as Harold Perrineau was so good as good guy Nick and did not see the flip coming and Perrineau was even better as bad Nick. Perrineau is no slouch with legend roles ( Augustus Hill is best part of OZ on every rewatch and Damon Pope on SOA should have been the final boss he is best big bad on that show)

Season 2 introduced the big bads but did great job spreading them out so not every episode and I truly hope they go back to more of this

Nyla Harper - I despised her character and was close to stop watching. Her lone wolf 5% start didnt work for me i found it annoying but she was developed so well she was a favorite by years end

Sgt Grey - He really found his feet as a character that is the protector.

Lucy - In any post i rave about the Lucy character i think she is top 5 characters on tv and Melissa O Neil should get more love and her character changed the most in season 2.

Lopez - Almsot as well written as Lucy and this was the season she really took off

Bad

Oscar - I really loved Oscar when he was first on but he has been so over used i dont even enjoy him on rewatch

Wesley - He was not well written and was annoying to a point of hoping he gets off's

Less training- i really enjoyed the learning aspect of season 1 and rookies were not " learning" as much in exchange for more big budget

Not enough of Jackson's Dad - i think he should have been used alot more even like FBI does in season 8 ( i enjoyed that this season )

Grace - she is Nolan's best love interest and only on this season. Huge loss

Best Episode excluding Day of Death

Impact, Q Word

Worst Episodes

Breaking Point, Hand Off

Overall it was strong season originally but weaknesses glaring compared to other seasons. Hard rewatch at times but sets table incredibly well for the tone of future seasons.
