I'm trying to understand how the clamp works for the rear wheel on such bike racks that rely solely on compressive force on the tires. Does anyone have pictures to share of how they mounted an Abound SR on one of these bike racks (1UP or Quikr)? I have the padded seat with a backrest installed on the back.

Do you just clamp at the 3 o'clock position on the rear tire and have the arm push into the bike completely horizontally?

I'm replacing a RLC-823A that was mounted vertically under a sloping rafter using a Reolink D20 junction box under a rafter under my eaves. The wooden rafter is 1.5" wide. It has about 15 degree downward slope so a wedge was used to level out the D20.

I didn't realize that the 823S1 has a very different and larger mounting hole pattern so I can't just install it directly under the same D20.

Is there an adapter I can find or put together that essentially allows it to hang attached under the rafter and also with some adjustability to make it plumb? If anyone has done a vertical mount under outside eaves, please share how you did it.
