Fellas I need your help. A lady friend of mine has expressed interest ... In a bow. I have measured her draw at about 25" and she's comfortable around a draw in the high 20's and low 30's.

I showed her all the self bow designs and she has requested something simple, elegant, and snappy. What can you get away with at lower draw weights that you couldn't at higher ones? Is Working reflex more viable at these weight? I assumed elegant ment pretty and that usually means outter reflex or the dreaded... Gull wing bow 🏹

Any tips on design or esthetics would be apriciated If there was ever a time I needed some design advice it's now. 🙏

Pulling 52#@24" draw & 6" brace

Bow: 70" long, 1.85" wide from the fades to inner thirds.

Eiffel towered the outer limbs a touch to much and now the string rests slightly to the right on the handle (am a right handed shooter) oddly, there appears to be no twist in the limb. The outer limbs seem to want to both bend to the right? Not sure why if there's no twist.

I liked the look of the tiller so I brought it to full draw and it was pulling 67#@28.5" with 6" of brace. That's a bit high. I was hoping for 65-63# since I'm still a bit green at this and the bow will likely take set over the course of shooting it in.

If you got this far, thanks for reading 🦫🤘

Is it possible to cut a z splice/tapered finger joint by hand for static handles? I've got alot of staves in my pile which I have been avoiding since only half of the stave is really usable. Some have too many knots or drastic wiggles in the grain, if I could start doing joined handles then my life would be alot easier. Is it feasible with a stiff pull saw? 🪚

Thanks for reading 🤘
