OBD tool recommendations (UK)

OBD tool recommendations (UK)

Looking for any 1st-hand recommendations on ODB scanner/tools that will work for my bike (2017 Street Scrambler) and cars.

Want to be able to clear codes - after oil change / service icons etc.

Don’t mind too much between tools like in the picture, or those dongles that connect to your phone. I guess the tools are more reliable, but less upgradable.
I could do iPhone or Android, but prefer iPhone.

Fanks!

Good generation on cloudy days

Has anyone else found that cloudy skies sometimes seem to have quite a good effect on generation? Like the clouds seem to disperse sunlight and you get good coverage, even if it’s a bit grey outside?

I have notifications on my phone for when I reach a certain level of power. It often unexpectedly reaches it when it’s overcast. I have a modest 2.5kw system and the notification happens at 2000w.

I’ve just hit my “good level” and the sky outside looks like this:

Voted for the general direction I want things to go in, despite local party presence being frankly abysmal.

Hopefully they step up a gear or support won’t last until the big one. 🤞

Who do you think are the best folks on our TVs that haven’t really reached international acclaim? The ones we get to keep for ourselves?

Richard Miller - Hard to choose between the two judges on the Pottery show, because they’re both kind and talented people who do a real hands-on craft to a high level, are happy to show their emotions, and they’re opposite of toxic masculinity. I chose Richard because his feedback to contestants is always beautifully constructive and affirmingly positive.

Sheridan Smith - I’ve seen her in TV and on stage and she’s just a high quality actor with great range.

Stacey Solomon - As a presenter of Sort Your Life Out I think she shows genuine understanding and compassion to the people on the show. Don’t judge her on the idiot she’s married to.

Sara Pascoe - A comedian whose intelligence and brilliance shows through in her stand-up writing and her books. She’s got a fierce sense of justice, but it’s made accessible and funny through her comedy.

Child-free people are often asked to justify why they don’t want children, but no-one ever has to justify why they do. Seems the wrong way round to me.

The first is a nothing scenario that impacts no-one.
The second involves massive sacrifice, adding another person to society, taking responsibility for a new life and deciding that you’re worthy or important enough to take that responsibility. That’s much more in need of justification TBH.

Hopefully someone will confirm that this isn’t Japanese Knotweed.
But also, if anyone can give ideas how to permanently get rid of it, that’d be great. Ta!

I feel super uncomfortable on motorways. Anything over 60mph has me buffeting about and the bike feels too light on its feet and insecure. Never used to have this with touring bikes with big screens and fairings, but I rarely do motorways nowadays and prefer the naked look. I have a small Dart screen on my Scrambler but it does nothing at higher speed.

Any recommendations for a screen that protects a bit better on the big roads but doesn’t ruin the look? Or am I just limited to one or the other?

Pro-AI folk, what’s an AI generated thing that made you say “wow”, or gasp with emotion, or wonder at the achievement?

Something like the detail of Georges Seurat’s pointillism, or Prince’s solo for While My Guitar Gently Weeps, or the Physical Energy sculpture by George Watts.

Panels basically on a flat roof, so they’re collecting dirt rather quickly. Want to give them a clean but wondering what implement and/or cleaning product to use (if any).

I can walk down the gap between the strings so it’s easy to get up there with a mop or a hosepipe. Whaddya recommend?
