Dropped it off yesterday to have the fork, crank, and bottom bracket removed so I could paint it. I called today and they said they buckled the seat tube when trying to get the bottom bracket out.

They will discuss "making it right" tomorrow but I'm wondering what I should aim for in a situation like this. His first offer was a free service on my next bike LOL! I quickly turned that down and said confidently that I will definitely be reimbursed for another bike, the value of which is undecided at the moment.

EDIT: The service he offered was the same service I wanted originally, which was to strip the frame. The quote for this was $20-$30. He didn't offer a full service.

I won't name the exact bike but it was a 2011 track bike that I loved and took me weeks to find on facebook. I got it on facebook for around $100-$200 used.

This is a very well known shop with great reviews.

Definitely gave the guy on the phone an earful, am going to miss my bike!
