The game is really good and none of these requests are complaints. I feel obligated to say that because I know how this site can be when it comes to new games that are being recieved positively, but it's early access and anyone who loves the game should want to see it improve.

We can materialize 18th century frigates at will in this game, so I don't think any of these requests are far fetched or unbalanced. Most of this stuff already exists as mods, so we know it can be easily implemented; But I play with 4 other friends and even if we could play together with mods I know they wouldn't want to go through the trouble.

Remove the Bonfire requirement for Decorations.

"This building is only useful within the bonfire range" completely disregards the decorative aspect of decorations. Players are gonna move their bonfires around to subvert this restriction anyways, so why not just remove it?

Remove the weapon option from the shovel.

Sorry to the one person RPing as Shovel Knight; But the attack function just adds an unneccesary input for 99.99% of it's use and the occasional random attack. At the very least it shouldn't be the default stance.

Remove Stamina cost from the shovel.

This is a feature that only serves to make terrain changes more time consuming. It doesn't balance the game in any meaningful way. You can construct an entire port town without breaking a sweat, but digging 4 or 5 times in a row puts you on your ass?

Sea Shanties continue when you leave the wheel and enter combat.

Why does my crew get so uncomfortable when I take a walk around the deck? I want to be among them while they sing for the vibes.

Some way for players to share map discoveries

Pirates should be able to share their discoveries with one another! Especially their pirate buddies.

Ability to summon the ship like a building item

Hold K to rotate and place your ship deliberately so you can fit it snuggly into the ports you build. Just as long as it's not going to be beached. Or hell, even if it's going to be beached it's not like you can't just move it again.
