For some background Im a sophomore in high school and really want to be a doctor. have a lot of consistent extracurriculars (student council for 5 years, varsity track and field for 5 years, soon to be Eagle Scout, national youth leadership training 3rd year staff) plus more leadership positions in school like public relations for one the biggest clubs plus full school asb public relations. My only award I guess is making state for DECA this year it was my first year doing it and I’m not sure what other awards to do? I have over 200 hours of volunteer in the last 2 years as well. But I have a GPA of 3.1 I’m doing all honors and APs and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong I also have a twin and he has a 4.0 and is taking more APs then me and is 2 years ahead in math while I’m 1 year ahead. Idk I come from a high achieving school but I truly want to get into a good college. I know it’s shallow but I just want all the efforts I’ve been putting in to pay off. I don’t know what to do especially in regards of my GPA. The worst part is I want major in pre med so having horrible grades just isn’t the best reflection…. I am planning to shadow a dentist over the summer, participate in the science and engineering fair (ISEF I think? Sorry if I’m wrong), running for president of a medical club, and doing USABO and TSA. I’m so worried though what if I’m doing all of this just to not get into any colleges I want due to my GPA? I’m still not finished with the school year and could get it up higher plus I get to redo 3 classes in total. I’m still worried though and just need some sort of advice on what to do. Sorry about my horrible grammar and spelling it’s like 2 am and I’m just panicking over everything for like the 20th time and I needed advice.
