My daughter is 4 1/2 and about 6 months ago started sitting at our piano, playing around, and asking for a piano teacher. I've called a few placed but get a hard no due to her age. Most of them say until she's 5 she won't have the attention span to learn. I think she would do great, but that's just me saying that as her parent.

Still, I think she would have fun. And I would like to be able to teach her more than just the notes on the keys. I have a basic understanding of piano from playing when I was little, but by no means any actual technique or muscle memory.

I think what I'm looking for is a good DIY piano lesson book or series that would be good for a 4-5 year old. The one I found online seemed great, but asks for small little duets. I don't really want to slow her down waiting for me to learn how to play the teacher part, if that makes sense. I'd like to go over the same content she does so we can do it together instead.

Does anyone have recommendations for a book/course for this situation? Thanks!
