I recently started a Shorts-focused channel and I’m trying to understand if I’m on the right track or if I’m just hitting a "new channel boost." I’ve reached a milestone of 100k views in the first two weeks, but I want to dive deeper into the metrics to see where I can improve.

Here are the key numbers:

• Average View Duration (AVD): +80% (1 minute shorts)

• Shown in Feed vs. Viewed: 80%≈

• Subscriber Growth: 500

Specific Questions for the experts here:

For a 60-second Short, what Viewed vs. Swiped away ratio should I be aiming for to stay in the "evergreen" loop?
I noticed a spike in the first 48 hours, then a flatline. Is this typical for the current 2026 Shorts algorithm, or does it mean my retention isn't high enough?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether these stats are sustainable or what I should tweak in my editing style (I use DaVinci Resolve) to break the next ceiling.
