making friends & course selection
i'm coming to uottawa in the fall for polisci, and i'm worried about making close friendships. i struggled in highschool because i moved for senior year, and everyone already had a friend group so i really want to make a few bestfriends/genuine close friendships in college!
i saw a tiktok from someone who dropped out, and she said most students already know each other from highschool so it's hard to make friends. how would you guys say it is? is it easy to find people you get along with? im kind of extroverted, and love socializing + clubs! im also planning to dorm at thompson in a double (so if anyone has tips for finding a roommate lmk :) )
also, i was confused on the website---is there a specific date for like freshman orientation and events? and when am i supposed to register for courses....plus how do i know which ones to take?
