I feel like an alien the way I see and comprehend this episode compared to everyone else

Jerry makes a very good point, that sacrificing the lives of their children for Rick is horrible. And that the family shouldn't have to sacrifice their lives and safety for someone who puts their lives in danger on a daily basis, and is the very reason that they are on the run. And the families response: Yes, they should do all of those things, because "They don't want Rick to leave again" Like, Am I supposed to view Jerry in a bad light for NOT wanting to endanger everyone for their fugitive grandfather/father??

And the rest of the R&M fanbase seems to also be on Rick's side on this. Like I feel like a crazy person. I know this leads into Rick turning himself in, but like, it then later concludes with Beth divorcing Jerry when they literally agreed seconds before that Rick does in fact put them all in danger for selfish reasons. Like how am I supposed to view this?? It just makes me hate everyone in the family and side with Jerry no matter how I view it
