Volunteering for an NGO.
Hello,
Recently I hand an interview for a volunteer position and a NGO called The International Association for Democracy and I was wondering if doing that might get me anywhere career wise. For clarification it is a social media officer position. Finding it internships in my area has been next to impossible. I am also fully disabled so moving hasn't been an option. I have bachelor's of science and political science and have been looking for work for over a year. Might this be something that leads to better job prospects. They told me if I work for them for 4 months I would get a reference. I know that volunteering can count as experience. I just wanted to know if it's worth doing? I apologize if the grammar in this post is off. I just woke up. And before anybody says I should pursue a master's degree. Due to my disability, I'm not ever going to be in a position where I can take on debt. I was able to get my bachelor's degree paid for completely. So before that's even mentioned, consider that off the table.
Thank you for your time.
