From the wedding website:

“What is the dress code?

An elevated, fashion-forward evening-tailored suits or tuxedos, and floor-length gowns or statement evening dresses.

Guests are welcome to wear rich colors, jewel tones, metallics, or any refined evening palette.”

Been to at least 20 weddings and I’ve never seen a dress code like this. “Fashion-forward”, “statement evening dress”, and “refined evening palette“ might as well be French to me.

Is this just a complicated way to say black tie? Any suggestions on where to get an appropriate dress?
