Vengence is ours!!! (Hidden rule discussion)

So I’ve been thinking. With the Hidden rule in place for 11e I feel like our Land Speeder Vengence is going to be really good.

Especially with the plasma buff.

The opponent’s hidden until they shoot, they shoot at some hellblasters we pushed up as bait. If they kill them in shooting Hellblasters get shoot back and then the Vengence within range does too.

If they don’t shoot the Hellblasters then that’s just free shooting.

Not to mention the huge plasma bike movement and melee.

Comboed with some Ravenwing evasive and move strats and I could see a Plasma+Raven combo being quite effective.

What are all of you all’s thoughts on how our units combo with the hidden rule?

Watching the Watchers

I spent some time answering a question about the Watchers in the Dark and wanted all of your feedback on it. I tried to make it clear it was my personal understanding but was wondering how close you think I got:
.
.
.
As I understand it they are servents/part of the entity named the “Dark Angel” from the ancient lore of Caliban.
.
It’s a legend referenced by Luther when the then unnamed Dark Angels first descended onto their planet. This is where their name comes from. (Actually the Dark Angels were called a few different things at the time, Uncrowned Princes and Angels of Death)
.
I also think Azreal met the entity to gain its approval before becoming Supreme Grand Master of the Dark Angels in one of books.
.
Pretty sure it’s a sort of Spiritual Protector manifested by the guilt and unyielding resolve of the people of Caliban at first and, now that their home world is corrupted, the Dark Angels.
.
I theorize it was able to manifest due to the strong sense of knightly duty and martial discipline that kept the people of Caliban alive on a planet full of warp beast filled forests for millennia.
.
Their manifestation is sort of similar to Dorn’s ability to nullify warp effects near him only instead of an absolute rigid focus (lacking emotion) which generate his effect the Lion and Dark Angels have a very strong emotional drive to protect but an unbreakable discipline. (Except for some of the Fallen which turned to chaos, but many of the Risen took up positions to protected imperial citizens while in hiding even though it put them at risk of discovery.)
.
Metaphysically I like to think of the watchers as the Dark Angel’s fingers poking through into reality from the warp. They provide it sight, let it help in small ways, and subtly strengthen the will of Dark Angels it is near. (Hence the temporary 4+ feel no pain vs mortal wounds)

So in that new Headhunter Task Force…I should make 3 units of 2 firestrike servo-turrets my Tank Aces right? 😆

Maybe include a hammerfall on home for bonus weird defense.

Just hella overwatch options and the most confused opponent. Lol

Ok, any ideas on where our other decent unique models are?

DWKs are great, but spamming them is not a lot of fun. There’s some play with the Shroud and Vengeance, but not a lot.

I think we really should have a unique plasma unit.

And I’d love a Dark Angel detachment that wasn’t just a passive. I’m realizing just how uninteractive our detachment abilities are.

Anyone else struggling these ways out there?
