Assalom Aleykum and Hello good people,
My husband who was born in Uzbekistan and now US Citizen wants to travel Uzbekistan for the first time in 20 years. He has never officially renounced his Uzbek citizenship, and his Uzbek passport expired long long time ago.
So, he is worried that he may get stuck at the border for questioning or for any reason regarding his dual citizenship and his long absence from the country or on his way out of Uzbekistan.
I've heard many different stories before, but since Uzbek President introduced new Visa free legislation what are the experience at the border for someone similar situation ? Thank you for all your input
EDIT: He has no intentions of re-acquiring Uzbek Passport nor willing to stay in Uzbekistan more than 30 days
