Hi everyone, I’m currently in Guangzhou and arrived about 4 days ago to source furniture, clothing, and cooking utensils for my home. However, I’ve been finding it difficult to locate places that sell kitchen appliances and cookware such as cooking pots, blenders, and similar household items.

I’ve heard Yiwu is a good option, but it’s quite far for me at the moment. Could anyone please recommend locations, markets, or malls in Guangzhou where I can find these items?

I’m planning my first trip to China soon and I’m really excited. The main goal of the trip is to buy furniture for my new home, but I also want to take advantage of being there to shop for clothing, shoes, and other items.

Since it’s my first time visiting, I’m trying to plan things the right way. For those who have experience traveling to China for sourcing or shopping do you think it’s worth getting a local guide or agent? Ideally, I’d want someone who can help take me around to different markets, furniture showrooms, and shopping areas, and maybe help with communication as well.

Or is it manageable to do everything on your own?

Any tips, recommendations, or things you wish you knew before your first trip would be really appreciated!
