
*FREE* COMPETITION MENTORSHIP OPPORTUNITY
SMOA (Scientific Minds of America), an international student-led organization committed to expanding educational opportunity, is pleased to announce the launch of our National Competition Mentorship Program — a completely free, virtual initiative designed to help high school students strengthen their competitive skills, improve performance, and access high-quality mentorship regardless of location or school resources.
Through this program, students will be paired with accomplished mentors who will provide structured guidance, strategic coaching, and individualized support throughout the competition season.
Program benefits include:
• Weekly live mentorship sessions via Zoom (60–90 minutes) led by experienced competitors
• Competition-specific preparation tailored to individual events and judging criteria
• Direct access to mentors for questions, strategic advice, and ongoing support
• Optional one-on-one mentorship appointments for personalized coaching
• Live chat support channels for rapid feedback between sessions
• Mock judging / practice rounds to simulate competition environments
• Constructive performance feedback to help students refine presentations, testing strategies, and event execution
• Winning strategies and insider insight from students who have successfully competed at high levels
• Access to preparation resources including guides, templates, study materials, and exemplars
• Networking opportunities with ambitious students and mentors nationwide
• Flexible participation — students may attend as many or as few sessions as they choose, based on schedule and interest
• Equal access at no cost, ensuring students from all backgrounds can receive elite preparation support

• Additional CTSO and academic competition categories based on student demand
This initiative is especially valuable for students seeking stronger preparation, mentorship, accountability, and competitive insight that may not be readily available through their school or local chapter.
