Hey everyone, I’m having a microphone issue on CachyOS and I’m not sure what’s causing it.

In OBS Studio, my mic audio meter stays red almost all the time, and my voice sounds extremely distorted/choppy. It’s barely audible and mostly sounds like crackling/static.

The issue is not limited to OBS though — I’m also getting the same mic problem on Discord, so I think it might be a system/audio driver issue rather than OBS itself.

Things I’ve tried:

• Restarting system
• Restarting OBS/Discord
• Replugging mic/headset
• Checking input volume levels
• Testing different ports
• Making sure the mic isn’t physically damaged

Still getting the same crackling/choppy audio.

I tried updating Pipewire / Wireplumber but nothing seems to work

Note : I have nvidia rtx 3050 4gb vram laptop ryzen 5 7535 hs
