Did the historic district ever catch you & give you problems etc? I want to replace my old wood windows because of the lead paint issues & they all don’t work properly.

They allow you to put vinyl in the rear windows but require expensive wood replacement windows in the front/sides. The replacement windows they allow you to put in cost $1400 each. I live in a lower cost area, that’s not affordable for most people. Thinking about just doing the vinyl & saying I bought the house like that if it becomes an issue
