We know there’s certainly been players that fit this category like Jordan Rhodes, Dwight Gayle or Adam Armstrong to name a few - but is Scott Parker the current standout of managers who fit the same category? I’m certain there’s been some before, David Wagner before this season for example. But Parker at this moment has been promoted from the championship in all 3 of his seasons there and relegated from the premier league in his 2 full seasons as well as taking Fulham down in his first interim spell and starting the season awfully (losing 9-0 at Liverpool in September) with Bournemouth before leaving.
I think he’s top of this category for managers at this moment in time.
EDIT: Sorry guys, I shouldn’t have said ‘First’ - I should have said something like ‘the most’. My argument changed midway through the post anyway! Of course he’s not the first as there’s been plenty before him but at this moment in time he’s probably top
