Trying out new systems is a lot of fun and there are plenty right now! And a lot of good ones and promising announced ones.

At the moment I am reading the rules for 4 different systems I am eager to test (Dragon Rampant, Fantastic Battles, Midgard, FSD).

But which rule set/system stood the test of time. Which system is your old faithful, your reliable system, your go-to-system, your evergreen? The system you and your group group always come back to? And most importantly: why?

Maybe you have several go-to systems for different genres/approaches, like skirmish, mass battle, different scales, sci-fi, fantasy, historical etc.
