I originally set out to see if I could build a good quality sim for under $1,000 (Launch monitor included). Sounded feasible, since I did have a old gaming laptop (Acer Predator Helios 300) and a cheap projector (Lisowod L03 Pro). I figured the projector would work as long as there wasn't too much light in the room. I was about to build the enclosure myself, until the GoSports 10x8 went on spring sale for $850 on Amazon. That was enough to change my mind, especially after watching videos of DIY enclosure builds. All in all, I think it turned out really good, and it was super easy to set everything up. All the products I used are below.

Enclosure: GoSports 8 x 10 Golf Simulator Enclosure. ($850 on sale) I like the fact that it has quick connectors for the pipes. Super easy to assemble

Launch Monitor: Square ($700) So far it is really accurate and reliable. You can use the supplied balls, or use TP5 Pix

Projector: Goiaey G02 ($247 w/ Amazon Coupon) Make no mistake, this projector is not as good as they make it sound, but it is decent with some ambient light, has native 1080p resolution, and is technically short-throw (1:1)

Hitting Mat: Golf Par 5 x 4 (31mm) ($95)

Flooring:
BalanceFrom Gym Flooring ($80 for 24 tiles)

Garland Rug Artificial Grass Rug ($77)

Spotlight: Senlan 6w pin light ($17) My only complaint with this light is that it doesn't have a switch. So, if you mount it high, you need a step ladder to plug it in and take it out. (I threw a smart plug on it)

As I mentioned, I'm using a 2020 Acer Helios Predator 300 laptop. It has an RTX 2080, which is working fine for 1080p. Overall, we are having a blast with it, and it looks like a top quality sim, all for a grand total of $2,066!
