Hi everyone! Some Sonic restaurants have received their shipments of HK&F Wacky Packs (kid's meal toys) and begun selling them to customers. I had trouble finding information about this online, so I decided to put together a (nearly) comprehensive guide to help any other collectors!

Availability: some Sonic restaurants started distributing today (May 1st) but other restaurants are reporting that the toys won't be available until Monday (May 4th) so if you don't have luck this weekend, check back on Monday.

Variety: there are 3 types of toys available, refer to the top left promotional image for examples: traditional figures, golden figures, and spoons. Spoons come in their own separate packaging with 3 variants (Keroppi, Hangyodon, and Badtz-Maru) while both sets of figures have 6 variants (Chococat, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Hello Kitty, and My Melody). The golden figure variants are marked with a gold star on the packaging.

Find your character: For the traditional coloring figures (non-golden) I was able to verify that the number on the packaging corresponds to the character. Chococat is 1/6, Kuromi is 2/6, Cinnamoroll is 3/6, Pompompurin is 4/6, Hello Kitty is 5/6, and My Melody is 6/6. The Keroppi spoon is 1/3. As of this post, I am unsure of Hangyodon and Badtz-Maru's numbers (but you have a 50/50 shot as they are either 2/3 or 3/3!) and I don't know if the golden figures correspond to the traditional figures numbers (ie, I don't know if golden Chococat is 1/6 with a gold star or if they have their own separate numbering system for the golden figures) - if anyone would like to contribute to these missing details in the comments, I'll keep the text body updated!

Where is the number?!: The choose your character number is easily missed due to the fold of the packaging! It's located on the back of the bag, hidden behind the creased fold at the very top, on the left side underneath where it's folded over.

How to buy: These are Wacky Pack toys meant to accompany the purchase of a kid's meal, 1 per meal, but I was able to purchase my set separately by asking an employee for help. Each toy came out to about $1.25 each. If your Sonic employee helps you with this, please consider taking the survey at the bottom of your receipt and leaving them a nice review! The employee I spoke to today was extremely helpful and told me that these surveys are a big deal for them. A lot of the employees themselves don't yet have the information I posted here about numbers and variants, so you may have to show them where to find the number if you'd like to ask for a specific character. Please be friendly and appreciative!
