2 positions
Hello,
Im just here to heart opinions
So, I managed 2 groups before, estimations and Projects.
It's a mining supplier we're the estimation team has technical knowledge to prepare proposals for the customer, while the Project team execute what was estimated by the first team.
So the team is disbanding and I find myself in a crossroad.
I like Estimations because I'm fresh in that, it's a global position (worldwide), but the demand is higher, since I'm dealing with sales, with delayed Esti.ations, and angry people complaining at me.
On the other side Projects get more visibility, I'm not so fresh but I have more experience in Projects overall (from the past). At diference to estimations, in Projects you have more visibility and you get the priority to do your work, since you are delivering to the customer, you also have to answer to Management for delays and all of that.
Can you share your experiences in estimations and Projects?
