Columbian Rainbow Boa vs 1st Time Owner
Hi! This is Maze (Mazikeen is her whole government name). She is my very first snake, a columbian rainbow boa, & deceptively huge. She’s 22 months old.
She is now in a 48x13x21 inch repurposed 55 gallon aquarium style tank that I had to find quickly because when she finally uncoiled I realized she’s actually almost 4 feet long. I think as far as husbandry goes I’m doing pretty well, but I have no idea anything about enrichment outside of her enclosure or general temperament. There isn’t much info online besides how they’re nippy as babies and luckily she’s past that point & is very gentle & tolerant.
Honestly, I bought her on a whim for $80 & was still scared of her for about a week after bringing her home 😅 but have always prioritized & went above/beyond for any pet I’ve had through research & advice, and we’re besties now tbh. I still mostly have no clue what I’m doing, so I will take any & all advice you have to offer but also ask for patience & understanding on this journey. 🩷
