Earthlings as a CSA Survivor

About an hour into the audiobook of “Earthlings” as a sexual abuse survivor. Just got to the part where the protagonist is invited to her teacher’s home for a cup of strawberry tea.

Is this book going to trigger the shit out of me? Should I stop reading? Are the scene graphic? Should I switch to print edition so I can more easily skip forward? I feel like this book gets glowing reviews so really wanted to check it out but I also don’t want nightmare/flashbacks this week. I appreciate guidance on what to expect. “The Lamb” really fucked me up so I am trying to be gentle with myself. Thank you!!

New to ru king. Do I need to buy an actual weighted vest or can I get the same benefits from putting a hand weight in a backpack I already own? thanks!

My partner and I are childfree adults (late 30's/early 40's) based in Brooklyn, NYC. We did a Virgin Voyages Carribbean cruise out of Florida last year and loved it. I was looking at doing a mini 5 day cruise to Bermuda from our home port (NYC) but wondered if there are better cruise lines for Bermuda or other cruises we should consider that leave out of NYC.

My concern with the Virgin Bermuda cruise is that the itinerary looks almost all boat time with only beach day.

Me: Grew up in California - LOVE the beach, swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, surfing. Loves going on cruises so I can connect with the ocean and read. Introverted.

Him: Grew up in NYC, not a strong swimmer (snorkeling did NOT go well), loves cruises so he can hang out at different bars, go to magic shows, make friends on the ship etc.. Extroverted.

We have discussed liking cruises because we can both do our thing and meet up throughout the day.

Would love reviews if you have done Virgin's Bermuda cruise or any other cruise to Bermuda that would give plenty of ship entertainment for him and plenty of beach time/water sports for me. We have limited line cruise experiences but have done extensive international travel. Open to ideas/feedback/suggestions from experienced cruisers
