Hey everyone. Im completely new to cycling, and also don't plan on spending too much time or money on the hobby. I just like to ride sometimes. I purchased a new to me bike, mainly to complete the Ride to Conquer Cancer ride in a month - riding from Toronto to Niagara falls over 200+ KMs.

I dont plan on riding really fast or being too aggressive, it's just a ride to fundraising for a cause that important to me.

I've rode the bike a few times, but the seat is almost unbearably uncomfortable. I am overweight, and I'm sure that has some to do with it, but I'm just having trouble finding a comfortable non aggressive position. I feel like I have a lot of weight into my arms and my butt is just in a lot of pain . I went through the steps on a "bike fit" website to get a general fit, but I'm just wondering if generally.... This will get better? I hear someone say "Harden your butt" with just seat time, but that feel almost impossible at this moment lol. Any input from some of you experienced guys to a noob what just wants to ride to raise money for a good cause?
