Job contract and skilled worker visa
Hi, I need some legal advice.
My current situation: I am currently doing my PhD in the UK with a student visa valid for 1 more year. I am almost towards the end of my PhD, so my supervisor offered me a postdoctoral position which starts immediately. This means I have been offered a job before the completion of my degree. Since I am on a student visa, I will be working 20 hours per week for now. After the university confirms my course completion, I will be able to work full-time for the remainder of my student visa. Before my student visa expires, I will apply for a skilled worker visa to continue my work.
Now my questions are:
(1) Do I need separate job contracts for full-time and part-time work? And also when my visa changes from student to worker? What's the ideal contract in this scenario?
(2) How does this job contract work when you have a visa remaining for 1 year but your job will last for 4 years?
