My buddies and I are playing in a friendly LRB6 league (drinks on Tuesdays and hang with the lads type of deal, but with a spectacular spreadsheet and a buddy with a 3D printer <3 ). I dragged my brother along and he's got bitten by the bug - playing a Pass-heavy human team.
The initiation into the lifestyle is to get a set of Blood Bowl Dice. There's a Games Workshop store near us, and since he's an Alpha Legion mark, picked up the High Elf dice set - it was the only one in the store.
He's had pretty bad luck with dice playing D&D, and through a saltwater test we found one of his block dice (favoured Both Downs) and one of the d6s (lining up between #1 and #5) are improperly weighted. He's relieved he's not cursed, and now we are tearing the house apart to find his banished dice.
My question to you folks: are there good sources for getting Blood Bowl dice (preference to Canada, more so Toronto)? How are the "Not Blood Bowl" dice in tournament-style settings? It's a friendly league, and while I could ask them I figure I'd check in with the hive mind too.
It's annoying when the 'official' dice are not made properly to begin with. To contrast, the pre-2016 (baby blue) dice I was given when we tried it for the first time are of pretty good quality.
