Pooh Corner Booknook - Self-Made
I made a booknook for my Winnie the Pooh characters and I'm really happy with how it turned out. My daughter bought the Paris Arcade Dating booknook for me for Christmas and I was hooked. Playing with all the little parts, I thought I could use some of the elements to make a little place for Pooh and his friends.
I followed Pluck's tutorial's on Youtube on how to wire it and connect it to a power source.
Here's what I used to make it:
- 3 mm basswood sheets - Amazon
- Acrylic Sheets for the top, front and window - Michaels
- Sculpty and Diamond Glaze, for the Owl (in the tree), cookies, honey pots (I used wood glue mixed with yellow ochre acrylic paint to make honey dripping from pots), and the beehive. The bees are made from beads
- Tree: Cholla Wood, wire and plaster (the plaster was a mistake, it's too heavy, I should have used clay) and craft moss
- Cabinet: Matboard, beads – candles and teapot, books – paper (Pinterest), shells and rocks from my collection
- Lights: LED's and light covers made from plastic caps, leather strips cut from an old wallet and oak acorn caps
- Tables and Chairs – 3 mm basswood, wood skewers and doll house bannisters from Hobby Lobby
- Dishes: Plates and cup used from a Christmas diorama set. Used wood glue in the cup to make it look like tea or chocolate milk. Spoon – jewelry finding
- Rug – Cross Stitched
- Coat Rack – Small tree branch
- Scarves and Blanket: Woven using embroidery floss
- Curtains – fabric, wood skewer and pieces of wood from a branch
- Pictures: Bee watercolor – painted by me, Winnie the Pooh paintings – found on the internet, printed on photo paper, sealed with Diamond Glaze, and framed with matboard.
