Is there a catch with the Jio ₹899 plan? And will the Hotstar benefit work on my TV?

I'm looking to recharge my Jio number and I'm a bit confused between the ₹899 and ₹949 prepaid plans.
From what I can see on the MyJio app, the cheaper plan actually gives you more:
• ₹899 Plan: 2GB/day + 20GB extra data, 90 days validity, and JioHotstar for 90 days.
• ₹949 Plan: 2GB/day (no extra data), 84 days validity, and JioHotstar for 90 days.
Why is the ₹899 plan ₹50 cheaper but giving 6 extra days of validity AND 20GB of bonus data? Is this just a seasonal promotional offer, or am I missing some hidden catch between the two?
Also, my main question is regarding the OTT benefit: Will the JioHotstar subscription included in the ₹899 plan work on my Smart TV? Or is it strictly the "Mobile" tier that is locked to phones?
Has anyone recharged with the 899 one recently? Let me know if I should just go ahead with it or if there's a reason the 949 plan still exists.
