Bark Referrals

Hi all

anyone started getting emails from these people?

https://www.bark.com/en/gb/

Suddenly they've started sending me multiple 'referrals' a day to my work email. they look like this (i replaced all identifiable info with XXX)

"Hello again,

I have another client in XXXX who came to Bark to find an Addiction Therapist (not relevant to your services?} . .

How Bark works :

We gather a brief from a customer and offering it to service providers like your business. Usually it cost credits to contact customers but as I approached you, this one's on us to give you an idea of how the platform works.

I recently helped a growing events company, they left the following comment: "Bark helps me fill up my calendar nicely, I've increased my business by 25% & it's now one of my main marketing channels"

  • What addiction are you dealing with? XXX
  • Do you have a preference for the therapist's gender? XXX
  • How would you like to receive this service, remotely or in-person? XXX
  • Which day(s) would you like to see your therapist? XXX
  • What time(s) of day are you available to see your therapist? XXX
  • How frequently will you need a therapist? XXX
  • Are you the person funding/paying for the treatment? XXX
  • Additional details: XXX"

I haven't replied as I'm very suspicious any of these referrals will turn out to be genuine and many of them are for people who are based nowhere near me... Also seems odd that I am now suddenly recieving multiple a day via a company who are mostly used for cleaning, design and personal training....

Hi all

Question for you re pannier rack placement. I have had a rack on my bike for probably about 10 years.

Unfortunately one of the bolts sheared off last week and was stuck in my bike frame, so I took it to a bike shop (A) near my work who told me that I should not have ever used the mounting holes that I was using but instead mount it through the wheel skewer with an extra long wheel skewer to hold rack and wheel in place.

I then took it to a second bike lock near my home (B) to get a extra long skewer - they told me that in fact this was a terrible idea as the skewer wouldn’t exert enough pressure and I should keep it where it was and just use the original hole.

I trust my local shop so have done exactly this. But a bit stumped how two seemingly reliable shops gave me completely contradictory advice and wanted to see which is right??

Pic attached and I’ve marked up the suggested holes for rack mounting with A and B… tried to make it clear but not sure it helps!
