Would anyone have any suggestions for how to recreate that iconic “Goldeneye” metallic hit sound acoustically? In the movie/games, I’ve heard it’s just a tambourine pitched down several octaves in a DAW, but I’m wondering what instruments or everyday objects might reproduce that sound for a live performance. I’m tempted to just go to Home Depot with a gong mallet and start testing random metallic things…
