I have a 2009 Pilot & I was leaving a DQ with my friend. The car sat for about 2 minutes idling & then we started to leave. I put it in Drive & slightly let off the brakes (as the road was very close to my parking spot) & all of a sudden there was this loud bang.
I got out & checked under, around, above; I grabbed at my bumpers to see if anything was super loose. There didn't seem to be any new damage anywhere, nothing was dangling, & there were no noises or issues after this, even when shifting.
I have a dashcam video of the occurrence, which I was going to upload, but I didn't realize this subreddit doesn't allow videos; whoops!
I'm not insanely worried about it, as it only happened once with no issues afterwards, especially considering I do regular maintenance & very seldom have any issues with this car. Just moreso looking to see what anyone else thinks before I send it to a shop to have it looked at
