2 week old, should I wake for feed?

my 2 week old boy isn’t gaining weight as much as we’d like, he’s still within the acceptable weight bracket so no health professionals are concerned but i just feel like a bad mum who sucks at feeding.

i think part of the issue is that he’s sleeping for 3-4 hour stints at a time, which would be amazing if he was gaining weight, but because he’s not i feel like it’s not as much of a good thing as it should be and i’m not getting much chance to feed.

everyone says never wake a sleeping baby to feed but should i be? and if i should, then how on earth do i do that?! feeling so confused and conflicted

Pre pregnancy weight I was sitting at just under 76kg, now I’m 41 weeks and 30kg up. Despite everyone telling me “you don’t look like it!” it feels like a lot and I’ve not seen anyone else online say they gained that much either. I feel alien in my body.

I was very active before, but had to cut back due to pregnancy pain symptoms so hoping once I get my activity levels up again it’ll shift off.

I know it’s normal to gain weight and I should be giving myself a break but does anyone else have stories or a similar experience of this level of gain in pregnancy and how quickly did you shift it?
