I just noticed a Buffalo News headline in my news feed stating that a Buffalo Medical Group patient was able to view another patient's billing records, which BMG calls an "isolated event." (We don't subscribe, so I can't read the article.)

This concerns me because a few weeks ago when my husband checked out after visiting his primary care doctor at BMG, he was given a printout of another person's visit summary that included a lot of very personal medical information. He didn't realize the mistake until he got home, and when he called, they just asked him to destroy it.

Also, I had a screening mammogram two weeks ago that detected a mass in my right breast, and I have to go back for a sonogram and possible biopsy on Monday. My OB/GYN at BMG sent me a script for a sonogram of my *left* breast. When I contacted them and pointed out the error, I was simply told that they would send me an amended script. (Not even a "whoops – sorry!")

Has anyone else experienced these types of mistakes recently?
