Sony Trinitron green screen
Hi all! I recently got a good deal on a Sony WEGA Trinitron KV-27FS100 when I had originally grabbed it and turned it on it didn’t seem to have any issues. However when I brought it back home theres this nasty green hue over everything on screen no matter the input used. I’ve opened it up and as far as I can tell there’s no damage to any of the internals, the only thing that is currently wrong is a cut power cable (my fault) which I soldered back together and seemingly works just fine.
For some reason I also cannot access the service menu, although I was able to access it prior. The TV came with the original remote and looking at the service manual for this model the combo is TV off -> Display -> 5 -> Volume up -> TV on. But no matter how many times I try to use the combo it won’t come up now. The soldering job on the power cord is pretty shoddy as I’m not too experienced with soldering, I have a new cord coming in soon though. However, I’m just not sure if that’s the issue considering I was able to access the menu after soldering the cable, but it just stopped letting me for some reason. Any advice for any of these issues? I know it’s a bit of a vague question, but I’m really unsure what to do currently until the cable comes in.
