9070xt OC model - a lot more Efficient than non-OC model!??
So I have got a Very Good 9070xt OC sample
Steel nomad:
- 8030 max (-110mv, 2782mhz fast, +10%=363w, not game stable)
- 7930 (-75, 2782mhz fast, +10%=363w, all game stable!)
But I started to wonder how would it compare to other cards:
- 9070xt non-OC model (tested 6 of those) score 7350-7450 typically on game stable tune(304+10%=334w)
• changed my game stable tune to
330-17%=274w and it scored 7405!
So my OC model sample needs 60w less power to get same 74 fps as base model (best part gaming Oc sells at same MRSP price as base model cards)
Insane!
(Now let’s say I got Gold Sample and typical 9070xt Oc model would only be 5% above base close 7350-7450, so would be 7700-7800 on stable tune. we can estimate and I had 1 out of 6 tested base model cards score 7530 on stable tune)
- so gold sample OC model to Good sample base model:
• my card needed 330-12%=290w to get same 7525 score! (So 44w less than even best base model 9070xt!!!)
——-/ conclusion /——-
- so delta between typical and gold sample 5% fps
- so delta between base model typical and OC model typical 5% fps
- however typical OC models need 12% less power to get typical base model score! (Or -17% if you got oc model gold sample)🤯🤯
