Surprised it hasn't been brought up yet but this Deathriders/Ospreay comeback story feels like it could be a version of the Rocky III thing Moxley wanted to do with Punk a few years ago.

For those that don't know or care about Rocky III: Rocky essentially gets his ass kicked by Clubber Lang. He's afraid and feels like he lost his edge and decides he needs a change. He gets together with his old opponent Apollo Creed who trains him from the ground up to fight in a completely different style. Spoiler alert: Rocky avenges his loss and gets the eye of the tiger back.

Anyway... Seems like we are going down a similar route here and I'm liking it.
