HUGE NEWS - Otomo Announces New Studio OVAL GEAR
After years of silence, Otomo has revealed the founding of a new anime studio called Oval Gear!
In addition to this, it's confirmed that his feature film "Orbital Era" that was announced in 2019 is still being worked on.
Aside from the "Otomo Complete Works", Otomo has kept a very low profile and many were speculating if his film was still being made.
This is the biggest news to come out in decades regarding Otomo's new creative activity!
I'm so excited to see what Otomo's new studio will produce.
And fingers crossed that the Akira TV series is still being made. When Otomo announced it in 2019 he said that the series would stay close to the manga. I would only hope the animation is done justice and stays faithful to the style.
