I’ve seen, especially on social media an awful lot of people (mostly gen z) finding about new viruses like the hantavirus hoping for another lockdown because of how ‘good and friendly’ things were during the pandemic
It wasn’t, it was hell for millions of people….
the pandemic crushed society’s social skills, and i’m not going to single out gen z and young people because my peers (around 33-40) and older have also noticeably affected by being isolated for 1-3 years and only (barely) working from home
The internet was already becoming a terrible crappy ‘place’ and everyone being forced to get online to do their work and whatever was like the thing that killed it entirely, making it full of uncultured swines that don’t understand things like (a lot of people wont relate to this sorry) fandom etiquette and SALS in the fandoms they join + fanfiction they read
And in a way, we’re all still in lockdown mode, we haven’t recovered at all… ugh, I could mention so many other things but I don’t want to spend more than 5 minutes typing this up or it’s going to rile me up even more😫
