The Toyota Roomy

Rented this in Japan on my recent trip, and it has to be the most conviently packaged and user friendly car I have ever driven!

They come with a 1.0 L engine and great on gas, optional AWD with a different trim, you sit upright in the front seats like in a semi-truck, and the rear doors slide open like a can.

Most important importantly!!!! It has tons of head room and near panoramic views out.

Be me, move back home after being away for 8 years and find out that my inlaws place is a pigsty and they hoard in the backyard.

Try to clean up and get yelled at for touching their stuff. Try to set up rat traps the past two years only for my FIL to complain about spending money on them, and constatly removing them because "theyre a tripping hazard".

Forgot to set up traps this spring.

Rats built a f*king nest in my engine bay sometime the last 48 hours and chewed through some wires, causing chaos in my car's programming. Repairs are going to be thousands of dollars because it's a German car.

Showed my FIL the nest and he literally removed it with his bare hands (gross af) and he spent all day deflecting the subject at hand. Cherry ontop.....FIL went as far as saying it was my fault for buying the brand of car I bought (yea cause apparently rats are picky).

Then he proceeded to tell my wife and I to go buy a new car. You know because the rats will know its a new car and that they shouldn't touch it.

Went for a drive and the car's temperatures suddenly skyrocketed while these errors came up. Practically crawled home while my radiator fan was screaming for dear life trying to cool the engine.

Ended up finding a rat's nest right over top of what I think is the computer. Pretty sure they chewed through something, but I haven't been able to find what yet.
