I’ve been playing bass for about a year using Yousician. I can hit gold on most songs inside the app, but I’ve realised I struggle massively with internal rhythm when I’m not following visual prompts. Without the app, I lose the beat completely.

I’m trying to figure out whether this is a normal stage in learning or a sign that I’ve built bad habits. I also feel stuck with slap bass — I can do some patterns slowly, but I haven’t progressed in months.

I’m not trying to join a band or be a pro. I just want to play songs I like and actually stay in time. For people who’ve been through this:

How did you develop internal rhythm after relying on apps? And how do you break out of a plateau like this?

My daughter in law is dying in hospital after being in safeguarding under social services they failed to acknowledge her cognitive decline, she's now vegetative state. Its a very long painful conversation. But can I ask why the mother is being denied all access to her daughters details even her NHS number why the doctors and nurses are refusing any sort of contact details for legal matters, why NHS Overseas payment team are demanding payments from the daughter due to immigration documents not being renewed weeks before her hospitalisation, why social services failed to report the daughters condition to welfare of health experts, why the doctor has put in medical notes thats she's only had symptoms for 2 weeks despite no one being able to talk to the daughter and no one talking to the family. Of you're just going to pike holes ..as a family we've really had enough, we've just found out that social services had told the daughter while she was days away from her hospitalisation that they’re definitely taking the children, they also told it to a Ukrainian translator, can I just add that this family's came from ukraine, they have shrapnal wounds and ptsd. Can someone explain why PALS is also ignoring and refusing to talk to my partner. Can someone explain why NHS Overseas payment team letter was found just placed on daughters bed. can I also ask why a hospital saying we are short staffed thats why you can't have an MRI but people were having scans in front on the daughter who clearly did not have conditions that were close to the daughters conditions, and due to her extended time waiting for MRI she had a blocked brain drainage tube. My partner is having her grandchildren taken away, her daughter's is dying, and the NHS are refusing to answer any of my partners requests, is it because she has a Ukrainian name? Also again I stress where would this doctor have got this 2 weeks of symptoms which is extremely inaccurate, my feeling is social services, and if that is true they are giving false information. A solicitor is in on board but they are swamped with the complete failure of all services, even citizens advice said we can't help you. I am embarrassed and appalled that this beautiful family escaped war with blood and scars, came to a country who ignored every clear sign that they needed help, and now the family is being pulled apart and getting charged for it.
