When you wake up tomorrow, you find that you have been transported 250 years into the past and the year is 1776.

What discovery/invention - either simple or world-changing - that has yet to be discovered/created at that time, would you claim for yourself?

In this scenario, you have enough money to afford a simple functional accommodation within the city where most go in the 18th century to 'seek their fortune'. You have no connections and modest means, but arrive with whatever knowledge you have today in the real world.

For example, if you are a Microbiologist today, you have all your education and experience to draw on, but only the tools and resources available in 1776 (simple microscopes, glasswear etc).

You will be under scrutiny to prove that your invention/discovery has been documented and is yours by right - so no claiming Uluru for yourself if you have not left the city you wake up in.

Been playing on and off 20 years and had a few lessons over the years but kids etc have stopped me playing regularly.

I’ve broken 100 a couple of times - short game and putting are ok - but I struggle for distance off the tee due to my irons and woods all being either a slice at worst or fade at best. A ‘good’ 7 iron for me is around 140yrds.

I can see from the video that my downswing is a little out to in which would explain the fade/slice but wanted to check other fundamentals… hoping to play enough this year to really get to grips with things.
