I always wanted to play Genshin on an android phone but playstore says my phone is too old for Genshin but then I found a perfect solution: 

You take a Nintendo Switch and boot it into Linux so it can then run:

  • Chiaki to stream gameplay from a PS5
  • Sunshine to stream Chiaki gameplay into a Wii U running Moonlight
  • Vanilla to turn an Android Phone into a Wii U Gamepad

So now I can play my phone playing my Wii U playing my Switch running Linux playing my PS5 letting me finally play Genshin on an android phone. 

Just in time too only 8 hours left before the Jahoda event finishes

Playing my PS5 on my Wii U with my AYN Thor as the Wii U Gamepad using my Switch as the Linux Server

A Switch booted into Linux is running

  • Chiaki to stream gameplay from a PS5
  • Sunshine to stream Chiaki gameplay into the Wii U running Moonlight
  • Vanilla to turn the AYN Thor into a Wii U Gamepad

It runs perfectly with no input lag from the AYN Thor to the PS5 as long as I look at the video output of the PS5 and not the video output of the Wii U or the AYN Thor turned into a Wii U Gamepad. Finally I can play Genshin on the Thor.

In all seriousness, my actual use case for setting up Vanilla was playing actual Wii U games on the Thor that I couldn't get working on CEMU Android. Like Star Fox Zero and the Wii U Skylanders games using the actual figures. The PS5 was me going mad. I bought all these E-Waste I'm using them all this is my harem route

Vanilla actually makes it work as a great Wii U Gamepad so I hope more people with Wii Us but missing / broken Gamepads try it out.
